Assignment 2C : The 101 Mask

THE 101 MASK

WE got a super duper interesting assignment in HBP RUS 101 ..
" To produce two mask with own skin colour and emotion " !
sounds interesting right...

After obtaining some useful infomations from encik wanB and seniors,
We did our shopping and later on,
MY neighbours ( hui xuan & Sin wen ) and I started the work.....
LETS SEE ..


-We cut the newspaper into pieces and soak them in the water.


- DONE !! a half full pail with newspaper inside


- We make our own glue with tepung ubi kayu


- Pour some hot water and stir it v a table spoon.


- Cover the face with a slice of wet tissue.


- Paste the wet soak newspaper pieces by pieces on the face


- Blow it when it is necessary.


- Paste the last layer of tissue paper o the newspaper and dry it.


- Done !! see !! my messy hair and ugly face. haha =D


- Both mask are ready to be colour ^^


AFTER THE MASK PRODUCING PROCESS, IS TIME TO COLOUR IT AND DRAW IT OUT WITH EMOTIONS.. YUU HHUUU.... ^^
LETS PROCEED WITH THE SECOND PART.

THE 2nd MASK ( WITH EMOTION IN BLACK n WHITE )


- Drawing the eye brow, eye lash, T zone of the face and so on...


- Drawing the sexy lips.


- Full Emotion. ( A Broad grin )


- DONE.


- I am smiling happily !!!!!


- Although the first one seems not to my satisfaction, the skin colour not realli
looks like mine, i am happy with the second one. Its totally to my satisfaction !
Thanks RUS 101 for giving me this project.




- This is my first try on doin papier mache, my neighbours and I had a great time
enjoying doing this with both laughter and sorrowness. However, we managed to
finish it within the given time.

Assignment 2B : My Bamboo Sound Tool

All of us were being assigned by Encik wanB to make a bamboo sound tool in the
rus 101 lecture.

We started our very first step by borrowing the GERGAJI BESI from the lab.
Then, we went to desa aman to saw bamboo..

-I m striving hard to saw the bamboo stems. End up sweating like after bathing.

After the tungkus lumus hard work...
finally, my bamboo sound tool was ready to use !

-My Bamboo Sound Tool ( BST ) nice huh !!!!!^^

Project 2A : Natural Structure- Bamboo

ASSIGNMENT !!!!

" ok class... see u guys at the usm bamboo research village at 2pm today..."
by our dearest studio father- Encik wanB.
I was totally in a frighten state after hearing this..
started to wonder where izit, what we gonna do, the hot sunny day, how much sun block that i needed.....
but somehow, i attended my class at the jungle with excitements .
we were dealling with bamboos that afternoon.
All of a sudden, i realised that all HBP students became the famous artistes in the world.


we were about to start our activities.


this is my group, we were drawing bamboos along the hilside


After that, i completed my assignment in abt 2-3 days time.
i made my bamboo as a FAIRY TALE JOINT.

Esquisse 4: Bambu Sense

WHAT I SEE

~ Texture : Rough, Bumpy, jagged
~ Form : Joint to form a basket, zigzag-joited, thin
~ Space : Small space between every joint.
~ Light : The form, colour and texture is implied by the light.
~ Colour : yellowish brown and green.

WHAT I HEARD

~ The sound of natural leaves rutling, soothing.

WHAT I SMELLED

~ A light smell, perhaps the fragrance of leaves.
~ Nice to smell, smell like the tea-leaves.

After a struggling weekend, FINALLY ....

when we first being issued by encik wanB to this project..we were kinda

HEADACHE...

after obtaining some precious guidance from him, i manage to finish my project and it was just to my satisfaction.
i felt happy ^^

What I Heard

Encik wanB is giving his lecturer in our 1st RUS 101

It was a cloudy afternoon that i attended Mr. Wan Burhanuddin Wan Abidin's class with excitement and euphoria which was the ever first class in my faculty- HBP.

first and the foremost,
Encik wanB greeted all of us with his pleasant smile and we do felt the warmest welcome from him.
He started his lecture which containing 4 elements


1. Transformation
2. Production
3. The prinsip of APEX ( 3P)
4. RUS 101 actors.

1. TRANSFORMATION->change : status quo is not an option

The bar chart above shows the

progress from 2007 to 2013 where Universiti Sains Malaysia gained its APEX's title.

laying the foundation --> delivering excellence
The recurring theme was driving transformation and change for the future
which i understand that being sustainable for a better tomorrow.

Intention -> Act -> Product -> place -> Rules -> actor

The intention brings action and forms products which is located somewhere with high discipline by the actor.

For example :

Me myself, have a strong desire and intention to become a successful interior deisgner in the future.
I take my very 1st action to fly from selangor all the way to usm penang for the interview and i do pass it with flying colours.
My name was stated in the hbp students name list. this is the product of my hard work so far.
Me myself is the actor where the intention came from and i followed the rules and regualtion
and FINALLY.....
i m here, belongs to part of the APEX UNIVERSITY !

i can barely remember all of the prof and lecturers name. However,
i do remember Dr illias who spoke very fluent english and the way he introduced himself realli impressed me alot.
glad to hear that he watched world cup final as i did .
He is a lecturer in construction management.

next, i can remember Dr Mohd Hanizun Hanafi who is the coordinator of RMK 153 ( construction management ) .
Then, Dr Abdelnaser who is the only foreign lecture n HBP and he is the lecturer of construction manageent as well.
Followed by Dr Azizan Marzuki who is the last one to introduce himself if i m not mistaken. He didnt give much advices so far but he asked us to enjoy ouselves.
i m pretty sure that we all are going to have a wonderful life in HBP
and enjoy to be the hantu balik pagi ..haha

last but not least, there is a Q&A session for us.

As a conclusion for today's lecture, i felt proud to be part of the HBP and i am ready to face all the challenges and obstacle in order to gain a brighter and better tomorrow !
