We had started our work after we settled with the bamboos.

Assignment 7 - GEODESIC ICOSIDODECAHEDRON DOME L2

BAMBOOOO AGAINNNNN !!!!!!!!!!

Today's assignment is about the construction of dome using bamboo which had been sponsored by The HBP to all of us. Thank God ! =)
Hui xuan, Sin wen and I started our short journey to the bamboo village just located beside the RST of USM.

Assignment 6B : Looking Back, Looking Forward and Bamboo Monumen

PART A : LOOKING BACK

Today, Dr Illias had given a short talk about the pass.
" PASS "
what does it mean ? past tense ? passed away ? passes by ?
There is neither an exact answer nor an accurate defination for the word "PASS" which i had learnt in RUS 101 today.
It depends on how i comprehend the meaning of the word. Well, the pass means something which had happend and it is an unchangeable fact or we can say it in another way, something which is undeniable.
So, the 1st part of my assignment today is about LOOKING BACK. Looking Back to the pass and study the past tense of an incident or rather an event and gain something useful from it as a guidance for a sustainable tomorrow.
I am goin to talk about my own personal development in the integrated studio RUS 101.
Back to two months earlier where i made my very first step to the School of housing, buiding and planning of University Sains Malaysia, i was like a rusa masuk kampung which means a new student who know nothing and felt very uneasy in a new situation.
And there comes the studiomaster cik wan who kept giving us lots of heavy work throughout the two months. Starting, i was really stressed out.
Dealing with studio work every single day. It starts with A2 boards and drawing. And soon MR Bamboo arrived.
After a month of sawing and cutting, i started to become very familiar with bamboo as well as the studio projects. Somehow, i started to like studio assignments.
time flies just like the twinkling of an eye,
there is a mid-sem break for all of us.
The first thought of holiday was " YEAH... I CAN REST ALREADY"
then i realised HBP is actually equals to HOLIDAY BANYAK PROJECT.
Well... i am so speechless where i accept the fact that i am a HBP student and there is the responsibility for me to accomplish my target.
Thus, there is a lesson for looking back to my HBP's life.
Maturity and responsibility.
which meant a lot to me.
The previous me had gone, the one which has a small brain and direction-less is no longer exist in the world.
I am confident enough to say or to announce that, I am a brand new Elishia which is very sure of my future and are ready to go through any obstacles along the pathway to my successful future.



PART B : LOOKING FORWARD

Well, here comes Cik Wan's part which is the second part of my today's assignment.
"REAWAKENING"
A meaningful words to all of us. After looking back and studying the history of mine, here comes the rearranging and reshuffling part of my life.
AWAKE which i comprehend it as coming out from the past and look forward.
The current issue in HBP - 2012 disaster.
Is this something very true and is going to happen very soon ? or its juz the chatter and tea-time gossiping's topic ?
Again, it depends on how you comprehend it.
The modern era of 2010 had arrived and now we are leading a better life with a greater style with the help of the advance technology. 2012 is just two years away. Some people started to countdown for 2012 which means they are waiiting for the arrival of death in my perception. WHY ? Is this something necessary ?
NO for me. definitely.
We, as the creature of GOD, are given birth and born to change the world.
We were born to see, smell, eat, move and finally THINK. Although there is a saying goes " GOD'S RECIPROCATION DO NOT CARE WHO AND WHERE", i am pretty sure that GOD created human for the same reason-FIGHT TO LIVE.
Well, as a student in hbp, who is already a pro-person in dealing with bamboos, my contribution towards 2012 is to create a bamboo stucture to fight against the disaster. Though bamboo sounds weak in terms of word to fight for the huge incident, somehow, i believe that, bamboo itself has the upmost potential and ability to save human's live indeed.
As our dearest cik wan keep promoting and even emphasizing that bamboo is a powerful material and most of our hbp assignment is so related with bamboos. i am pretty sure that bamboos may contribute towards the 2012 incident as well.
At the same time, I need the cooperation from all the GOD creatures in this beautiful world, 2012-is a time to prove that we are born to stay but not for destroying purpose. WE WILL FIGHT FOR OUR LIVES!



PART C : BAMBOO MONUMEN

After the visit to the JEWISH CEMETRY which is located in Jalan Zainal Abidin.
I had an idea how to sketch my monumen which is goin to be leave on earth in case there is something happend and i am going to enjoy my long sleep.

There is it, Jalan Zainal Abidin. We travelled there by bus.


We are as happy as a lark to see the signboard. And soon, we started to search for the monumens.

Assignment 6A : Disaster Kid

HARUAN SPRAY FOR BURN AND WOUND

I picked the haruan spray for burn and wound as my invention to go on to the IBU during the pre-disaster period. My invention will be sustain on the IBU for about 40 days and nights.

This is the outer look of my invention.


The Section


THE IBU ( inter-pondok Bastionary unit )



INTRODUCTION

IBU is the floatable conference hall which act as the central control.
The pondoks will be physically linked to the IBU where the activities in the pondoks will be monitored by the Inter-pondok Bastionary Unit (IBU)

The inter-pondok bastionary unit(IBU) is well-built with :
1. Life saving raft with a clinic ( where my invention will be placed in )
2. Pondok detectors
3. Navigation tools
4. Engined-operated life rafts
5. 40 days battery system.

The IBU is well-prepared in the optimum form and structure needed for the safety and rescue of all families and whatever provision needed for 40 days.
-Adhesive made from polystrene is applicable to the joint of bamboo in the form of poles to support the whole structure.
-Composite materials such as the Nanocomposite Epoxy Hybrid is used to build structures with floors which are strong but light.
-Structures with roof covering would need a lightweight membrane. Invention in membrane morphology is able to produce an alternative to PolyTetraFluoroEthylene (PTFE)as one of the method of contruction.
-Somehow, I find P5i0, a low cost high performance filler for manufacturing and construction industries from tin mine waste is useful enough for construction using natural materials such as bamboo which needs a filter.


HOW MY INVENTION MAY USED BY IBU DURING DISASTER-TIME

INTENTION
The main objective for me to invent such a useful tool during the disaster time is to introduce aerosol spray containing Haruan Extract and Fusidic Acid as active ingredient that can produce synthetic skin(film) for treatment of burn and wound. The victims of the disaster who experienced slight injury can use the haruan spray for temporary rescue. As there is limited-space in the IBU clinic, those injured victim may use the new invention while waiting for the treatment from the specialist.

ACT
The haruan spray will be placed in the glass cupboard which is located outside of the IBU clinic.Those who are injured may used the tool after gaining permission from the authority.

RULE
First come first serve. However, special treatment for severe cases.
